For many years the American professional golfers have been considered well ahead of the tournament players in England. And I suppose we must give that wonderful little man Ben Hogan a special niche of his own. Bust 1 believe the over-all difference has been narrowed so much in recent years that it is now right down to the mere width of that four-fool putt I missed on the 18th green in the the Ryder Cup at Wentworth last year. If I had sunk that we would have held Americans in the match.
