PAKISTANI ATHLETES PREPARE

BEST COMMONWEALTH ATHLETIC PERFORMANCES FOR THE CURRENT YEAR

By "RECORDER"

With less than six weeks to go before the commencement Fifth British Commonwealth and Empire Games at Vancouver on July 30, the athletes of the participating countries are hard in training, except for the Australians and New Zealanders who are now in the midst of the Southern Hemisphere winter.

Some leading Australian athletes, however, have moved to Europe and America and are preparing there for the Games, The Pákistani and Indian seasonis are over but the hard training goes on. With Lalore showing an average daily temperature of 118 degrees Fahrenheit, the Pakistan team has moved to a Training camp 270 miles north at Alibotobad.
