Mr Celtic Reveals The
Secrets Of That "Double" Success
As Told By Bob Kelly To Harry Andrew
I
THE CHINA MAIL, FRIDAY, MAT 21, 1931.
let you into a secret-the real reason why Celfie pulled off the greatest double that Scottish Football can offer, the League Championship and the Scottish Cup.
NOT because we gave our players oxygen at half-time: NOT because we had stumbled on a brand new formula for football.
Much simpler than that. Our recipe for success, is, in fact, 66 years old! When I became chairman of games to play and that it was that most of the credit for Celt for

HISTORY WAS A THRILLER
FROM START TO FINISH
By “RECORDER”
The greatest 400 Metres flat race in Asian history was a thriller from start to finish. It was run during the course of the Second Asian Games at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila on the afternoon of May 4 and involved the four fastest men Asia has ever produced for this distance, three of whom were to break the old Asian record and the fourth of whom finished last in the field of six finalists after setting a blistering pace to the half-way mark that he could not maintain beyond that.
Only three genuine Asian records were broken at the Second Asian Gomes. These were in the 400 Metres run, the men's 400 Metres and the women's 400 Metres but the marks set relays. There were innumerable Asian Games records broken,
at the First Asian Games at New Delhi in 1951 were in most cases not of a high standard. In the heats of the 400 Metres, for example, eight men at Manila broke the standing First Asian Games record..
