The Third Annual Meeting

Ronald George Bishop, 34, who was accused of having given
information known by him be false for the purpose of pro- curing a British passport, was discharged by Mr Poon Yan-hoi morning when Mr D. O'Reilly Mayne, Crown Counsel, entered a noite prosequi on that charge.
Bishop, who is the assistant China Flect manager of the

The Soviet Communist Party Secretary, Mr N. Khrushchev, has told the USSR that grain supplier logged behind sumption demands. Mr Khrush- chev's warning followed
decision of the Communist Party Central Committee plenary meeting calling for an increase of grain production for the state in the near future of be- tween 35 and 40 per cent over 1953.
The USSR is trying to recruit 100,000 young workers, staking many from factories, to open up 18 million hectares of new grain producing land in 1954.
The party decision, based on Mr Khrushchey's report, said the amount of grain which re- mained on collectiva. Farmá after the Government quotas had been met, " also in- sufficient to supply the farms".
