Of Indians
Seoul, Feb. 18.
The U.S. Eighth Army stood ready today to halt any South Korean interference with the departure of Indian troops for home as the Republic Government showed no signs of backing down from its latest threat.
The Rhee government has said it will "keep" Indian troops in Korea unless they guarantee the welfare of 76 anti-Red Korean former prisoners who chose to go to neutral nations. These men are now en route to India by ship.
General Maxwell Taylor yesterday told the South Koreans he would brook no interference with Indian troop movements and the Eighth Army would "deal appropriately with any interference to the discharge of
