This is the greatest thing that has happened to football in the Colony in a long, long time. The local boys turned on a brand of soccer to which Pegasus simply had no answer. They played together as no Hongkong team has managed to do for ages. They gave the complete lie to the harsh criticism that was levelled against them when the selected names were published, and, above all, they won be- cause they were by far the better team,
The only sad aspect of what should have been a wonderful day was that there were some vacant sents in the stadium. What a pity that unlike the cinema we cannot have trallers for football matches. If the fans could have had an edited preview of the fare served up on this occasion the police would have had to turn away the thousands who could not get in.
