The Hongkong Amateur Athletic Association's Novices' Mecting on Sunday at Boundary Street has attracted an entry of 182 individuals, some of whom are entered in several events.

It is the largest entry list for any meeting ever staged by the HKAAA and the Association's officials are thoroughly puzzled by this sudden enthusiasm for athletics. Last year's Novices' meeting was very nearly a flop and it has since been debated whether there was any point to having one this season,
