Burma-Japan Talks On Reparations Open In Rangoon

Rangoon, Oct. 12.

The Burmese and Japanese Foreign Ministers met here today for their first formal meeting to discuss reparations.

A communique issued after St 90-minute talk between Mr Okazaki and Mr Sao Khun Hkio, the Burmese Foreign Minister, said the talks were frank and friendly and that the reparations question had been studied with a view to an early settlement.
