BATSMEN

Nottingham, June 11.

Rain and bad light cut more than 90 minutes off the day's play in the first of the Coronation year Anglo-Australian cricket Tests here today. Australia, who had won the toss, batted first on a perfect pitch and were 157 for three wickets when bad light sent the players in about 25 minutes before stumps should have been drawn, and there was no further play.
