Blair-Kerr, Crown Counsel, opened the case for the prosecution against 19-year-old Rifleman William Eugene Gallagher, of the 1st Bn Royal Ulster Rifles, who stood in the dock accused of the murder of an ice-cream seller, Tsoi Kwai, in the New Territories on the night of July 29 last. Gallagher is alleged to have shot the man with a rifle while on sentry duty.
