The Bank of England has again expressed deep con- cern at the loss of hard currency resulting from dealings in tin and other metals with cheap Sterling.
The Committee of the London Metal Exchange, which has been approached by the authorities, has written to members asking them to ensure that its customers ascertain that any tin purchased is solely for industrial use in the stated country of destination.
