Coronation Sport Tied With Red Tape
Did you hear about the two London County Council Burveyors who went round Stamford Bridge with a tape- measure to find out how many people they would permit to see a big fight there-and decided the limit would be 10,000?
Forget that more than 60,000 spectators can watch Chelsea there any Saturday with no more serious hurt than a broken heart. All those LCC surveyors were con cerned with was the size, shape and site of the exit space available.
The vialtors were able to convert only one of the many scoring chances they had in the first half, and Hongkong only came to life in the last 10 minutes of the game to score the equaliser through a brilliant piece of opportunism by Wilson,
