The Chairman of the Finance Department of the International Monetary Fund, Mr. Henry C. Murphy, in his survey for the next 12 months, expressed the hope of a gradual development of investment in the under-developed countries.

Mr Murphy said that prospects for the next 12 months were that business activity would increase in the United States and that United States imports would rise.
