On Monday night, at 9.30, Radio Hongkong" has pleasure in broadcasting for the first time a concert by the Sino-British Orchestra of Hong-1 kotig. This also marks the first occasion on which the Concert Hall in the station's premises at Electra House Has been used for a performance

This enterprising group, which consists largely of amateur musicians who play for the love of music, was formed in 1947 under the dis- tinguished patronage of His Excellency the Governor, Sir Alexander Grantham, G.C.M.G. It is led by Alastair Blair-Kerr and on this occasion it will be conducted by Frederick Jackson.

It is the story of the great ! white bird that arrived on the Essex marshes in the 1980's, wounded by sotme hunter's bullet, and was found by the little girl, Frith, 1 tells how she and Phillp Rhayader, a hunchback lived alone In a lighthouse, to- gether cared for and healed the bird and gave her the naine of the Lost Princess, and of how tha story of the Snow Goore becainid a legend in the summer of 1940 the summer of Dunkirk.
In this recording, the part of Rhayader is taken by Herbert Marshall, and that of Frith by Joan Loring who was brought up in Hongkong. The music 1* composed and directed by Victor Young.
