Foot And Mouth Disease Plague Brings All Cattle Movement To Standstill
London, May 7.
'Britain's foot and mouth discase plague, which has brought all cattle movements to a standstill, continued to spread today.
Two new cases were reported, one in central England and the other in Scotland, bringing the total to 251 outbreaks since November 14. The country's most serious foot and mouth epidemic for ten years has led to the slaughtering of 14,490 cattle, 7;962 sheep, 6,440 pigs and 20 goats.
