WHY NOT A TRIANGULAR TEST MATCH SERIES IN ENGLAND IN 1953?
Says PETER DITTON
With four,
Test match cricket these days is a' laborious business. five and six days being devoted to each game, both batsmen and bowlers are encouraged to develop a negative approach to their respective duties. The consequence is that unless the wicket is "sporting." that is to say, gives the bowlers an advantage, a definite result is hard to obtain. Witness for example
the serles just ended between India and the MCC. ........
As we all know, wickets throughout the world have been getting better and better since the turn of the century. This has been due to the introduction of more scientific methods of preparation,
