SPRINGBOKS SET THE SEAL TO THEIR SUPREMACY IN THE WORLD OF RUGBY

By PETER DITTON

The Springboks' narrow but limited pictory over England at Twickenham, close on the heels of their successes at Murrayfield, Bublin and Cardiff, has set the seal on South Africg's daim to be the World's Champion rugby country.

Just over three years ago they heat New Zealand, their nearest rivals, in all four Tests and the visit of Australia to the Unluu eighteen months hence is not likely to affect the balance of power.

Indeed. South Africa's supremacy is not likely to be challenged until 1957 when the Spermigboks are due to tour New Zealand.

The question of certain indivíduals publishing a pro- gramme in connection with the forthcoming visit of the Danish Akademisk Boldklub soccer team was discussed at an urgent meeting of the Interport Sub-Committee of the Hongkong Football Association yesterday with Mr C. S. Wang in the chair.

Two outstanding features have marked the 1951-1952 Colony Badminton League which is now gradually drawing to its close to give way to the Annual Open Championships.

The Men's "B" Division started with Kowloon Tong as the hot favourites. Craigengower, how- ever, opened with a 6-4 upset win over the favourites and since then have won all their first round matches, pad also their second return match against round Kowloon Tong last night.
