At the direction of Mr Justice Gould, the jury at the Criminal Sessions this morning returned a formal verdict of not guilty against Lai Ming, alias Lai Man, 25, one of the three accused on trial for the murder of a farmer, Li Fook-hing, 43, at Upper Kwai Yeung Village, Tsun Wan.
The Judge upheld the submission of Mr V. L. J. D'Alton, who defended Lai, that the Prosecution had not established a prima facie case against the accused.
