Britain-Short Of Funds

-Still Hopes To Send

250 To The Games

London, Nov. 13.

Great Britain, considering its size and population, will enter the 1952 Olympic scene as the "poor relation" of the Games but throughout the land plans are going ahead to get squads ready for the fray and hundreds of aspiring men and women are anxiously awaiting a call to take their place among the lucky few.

And "few" seems to be the operative word here. While the Olympic Com- mittees of other nations are receiving generous funds from proud and patriotic tren- suries, Britain's contribution amounted to a tax demand from the Inland Revenue department for half the profite of the 1948 Games held in Londen.

Army Secures The Services Of An

English FA Coach
