A SCOT FROM GREENOCK AND A GREEK FROM SAMOS GO SCORPION-SWATTING

By "RECORDER”

Many curious things happened in the Cricket League over the week-end. The Royal Air Force were the only team to take all eight points over the week-end in the First Division, but it was the Scorpions struggle to produce but one point that made it memorable.

On Saturday the Scorpions met the Scot from Greenock, Wee Willie Davidson, who took eight of their wickets for 25 runs, and then, as Willie stepped off their fail, they took two quick wickets and then in came the Greek from Sames, Johnny Leriou, to bring up his average for League matches this season to three-figured in- finity. The following day he was out for one run against the Optimists and rests with an average of 101.00.
