Six Months Planned

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT

London, Oct. 11.

Trade between the Sterling Area and Japan is not expected to show any "spectacular" increase as a result of the recent payments agreement, a Board of Trade spokesman said today.

how trade between the Sterling Area and Japan HONGKONG

develops under the new payments arrangements.

Until this period has expired it is not intend- ed that any formal trade agreement between the United Kingdom and the Colonies, on the one hand, and Japan, on the other, should be concluded.
