Liaison Officers Meet Again
At Pan Mun Jom
SCOPE OF NEUTRAL ZONE THE CHIEF OBSTACLE
Advanced UN HQ, Munsan, Oct. 11. Communist and UN liaison officers convened
at the Pan Mun Jom check-point at 10.03 a.m., it was officially announced here today.
The UN and Red liaison officers met again to nego tinte the scope of a neutral zone around the new meeting site ---
apparently the final obstacle in the way of formal- resumption of the Korean truce talks.
News broadcasts from the official-Red radio in Peking said the liaison officers yesterday' agreed "in the main" on the new site, on its protection, day and time for resumption and facilities for the negotiations. But the Communist generals, Kimm :11-sung and Peng Teh-huai, have proposed that the Kaesong neutral zone be extended in a rectangular shape to include Munsan.
