thes NEWS.

Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream' has been recorded in two parts by the BBC first, taking the play to Act III, Scene 1, where Puck bedevils the affections of the young lovers and Titania becomes infatuated with Bottom, will be broadcast over Radio Hongkong in "World Theatre" on Wednesday, October 3, at 9.45 p.m. The reconciliation of the lovers and the reunion of Oberon and Titania fall happily into Part II.

In this production the part of Bottom is taken by Howard Marion-Crawford, who adds to his long record of notable performances the full-bodied rendering that Shakespeare's sublime clown deserves. Other leading parts are played by Frederick Allen and Joan Hart as Oberon and Titania, and Brewster Mason and Molly Rankin as Theseus and Hippolyta.
