Japan Peace Treaty Opens Tuesday Night

New York, Sept. 2.

Mr Kenneth Younger, British Minister of State, arrived here by air today on his way to the Japanese peace treaty conference in San Francisco. He told reporters that he hoped the treaty would be signed by next Satur day.

He said: "I have heard that the Russians have some proposals to make, so I suppose they have something new to say. have no wish to speculate because there is so little to speculate on. I just hope that it will not impede the signing of the treaty."
