The current World Table Tennis Champion, Johnny Leach, who is expected to arrive from Singapore this afternoon and open the three- night series of exhibition matches here tonight at the Southorn Play ground, will face players who are perhaps his strongest opponente so far in his world tour.

With the exception of Chau Chan-kow and Chung Hing-chau, Hongkong has chosen its best teams available for the three nights' games, which will be played on the Davis Cup pattern of four singles and one doubles for each night's session.

The outcome of these games and the performances put up by the local stars will bear a special significance in view of Hongkong's decision to participate in the World Championships at Bombay next year.

Burnley and Sunderland are |also interested in him,

Chelsea are also having player trouble, for it was reported that Johnny Harris, the Scottish inter- national centre-half, and Roy Bentley, the English international forward, have both refused to sign.
