Soldiers Plead Guilty To Offences: Sent To Prison

Two soldiers of the RASC, Shamshuipo Camp, who changed their pleas to guilty were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment with hard. labour by the Senior Puisne Judge, Mr Justice Gould, in the Criminal Sessions this morning.

L/Cpl Alfred Ashkettle, 21, who pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to Chu Chi-wing, was sentenced to two years and six months; and Pte Hubert Prior, 26, received the same term when he pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm to Chan Kong-lin and a further six months for indecently assaulting Chan Kong-lin.
