In addition to these relays from London, Radio Hongkong is paying tribute to the opening of the Festival in its own way with a feature call- ed "The Coasts of Albion', a title suggested by lines Service from St. Paul's Cathedral, 12.15 p. LISTENERS' CHOICE. from Thomas Gray's poem "The Progress of Poesy',

The programme itself justifies its title in that it is a feature, touching upon the various phases of English life in Literature, Music, and the Arts in general-from about the 18th Century. The pro- gramme has been devised by Jack Shepherd, Betty Drown, and Leonard Pearson, and those taking part include John Charter, Austin Coates, Pips Howell, Leonard Pearson, and Brian Tucker.
