"After the recent attack on tin producers by the United States Senate Preparednese Sub- Committee and the decision last week to stop the stockpiling of tin, the latest move was régarðéð as logical.

The main feeling in London was one of disappointment that the United States should take major decisions on tin as a com- modity Immediately before the International Conference on the metal, due to open in Washing- ten on Wednesday,

It was felt that the United States had hardly helped to obtain the right atmosphere for the conference by taking impor- tant decisions and making slate- ments which were bound to cause resentment and contro- verty.
