On Tuesday from 10.16 to 11.15 p.m. Radio Hongkong will be broadcasting a fantasy by Sir Max Beerbohm. The story is taken from his book of essays, 'Seven Men,' and tells of two authors whom he called Hilary Maltby and Stephen Brax- ton, and whose names were on every fashionable r tongue whose owner had literary pretensions. They were novelists; at least, each had written successful first novels, and each vied desperately with the other for the plaudits of Society.
They were running neck and neck while everyone waited breathlessly for their next literary triumphs......and Max Beerbohm un- folds the tale of their second novels, of their on the reception by the public, and its effect courses of the lives of the writers themselves-in fact, this version, dramatised by the BBC and first heard in the Third Programme, goes to make as entertaining an hour's listening as you could wish, and loses none of its typically 'Maxian' flavour in the adaptation. Hilary Maltby and Stephen Braxton' comes at 10.16 on Tuesday evening.

In 'Portrait of Aran' at half pust ten on Mon- day evening, Robert Flaherty--well-known for his film documentaries 'Nanook of the North, 'Man of Aran,' 'Louisiana Story,' and 'The White Hell of Pitz Palu'-takes listeners back with him to the Aran lalands, off the West Coast of Ireland, to meet some of his friends who took part in the making of 'Man of Aran. The inhabitants tell of their lives spent on the barren rocks of Aran, open to the gales of the Atlantic, where every foot of soil has been carried crevices and from the by man and beast from the scathore and spread on the naked rock,
