The International Bank for: Reconstruction and Development (the World Bank) made loans aggregating more than $255,000,000 to Australia, Uruguay, Ethiopia, Mexico, Turkey, Thailand, Colombia, Brazil and South Africa during the six months ended Jan. 31.
The Bank disclosed this today in a report on its activities during that period.
The Bank has informed the Australian Government of its willingness in principle to par- ticipate in the further financing of Australian development and to send representatives to Aus- tralia in 1951.
