Summary.
As in previous years, His Majesty the King will speak to his peoples in all parts of the world an Christmas Day from his study at Sandringham House. Radio Hongkong will be relaying his Christmas message at 11.00 o'clock Hongkong. Time on Christmas night and it will be broadcast again at 11.30 a.m. on Boxing Day. At 10 p.m., immediately before His Majesty's broadcast on Christmas Day, will come the BBC's now tradi-ducted by Carles Will tional 'round-the-world' programme.
Another Christmas message comes at 11.45 p.m. on the same evening from the Archbishop of Canterbury, who recorded this especially for averseas listeners during his visit to Christchurch Cathedral in the Province of Canterbury, New Zealand, which is celebrating its centenary this year.
On Christmas afternoon, from 3.40 to 5.00 o'clock listeners will be able to hear recordings from the great oratorio by Handel "The Messiah?" The soloists in this work will include such well-known vocalists as Gladys Ripley, Isobej Baillie, James Johnston, and Norman Walker supported by the Huddersfield Choral Society ander Herbert Bardgett. The Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will be Con- ducted by Sir Malcolm Sargent,
