HAZZARD SHIELD
By "RECORDER"
The English Residents of this Colony —y though one member of the Eleven may be sur pected of being Welsh and another Irish- drew with the Australian Residents in the annual Haz- zard Shield match at Chater Road yesterday.
The Third Test thus did not decide definitely on any claim to the Hazzard Shield as England won the first and Australia the second. The Fourth Test wil be played next season and the Fifth in 1952. A new series starts the following year.
The Australians, led by Neville Oliver, depended on very much the same team that won last year and their faith in it was quite justified. They were short of two of the players they had wanted for the team-E. Fincher and R. S. Lin-but that was not their fault.
