The Prime Minister, Mr. Clomont Attlee, tonight decided to risk the down-
fall of his Government and an immediate general election by an nouncing in Parliament that bo intended to go ahead with stool no- tionalisation.
The Conservative leader, Mr. Winston Churchill, immediately rose to brand
the Government's action as "reckless and wanton".
