"The object. of the Ordinance is to strengthen the composition of the Full Court by arranging for the Chief Justice of Singa- pore to be available to sit on the Full Court. The Bill will give this arrangement legal effect.
The oMelal explanatory notes slates that Section 2 of the exist- Ing Ordinance contains certain positive provisions as to the com position of the Court when it is constituted by two or three | juriges respectively. Subsection (4) for example requires the Chief Jusilee to sit on a court of three judges although he may have been the trial judge.
