CHINA FIGHTS FAMINE
San Francisco, March 16, -Peking radio claimed that. an unprecedented grain dis- tribution scheme is now un- derway, designed to avert the famine which, Mr. Acheson said, yesterday is likely to affect 40,000,000 Chinese.
The broadcast contended that the famine is the result o maldistribution rather thar under-production, although this questioned by informed source: here.
