CHINESE DELEGATE'S ATTACK ON MR. LIE

Lake Success, March 14. Nationalist China today accused the United Nations Secretary General, Mr. Trygve Lie, of bad politics and bad law which destroy public con- fidence in the impartiality of the Secretariat of the United Nations. ESTATES TO BE SPLIT UP

Rome, March 14. A widespread re-distribu- tion of land in Italy was an- nounced today by the Prime Minister, Signor Alcide de Gaspert.

While thousands of peasants in Southern Italy squatted grimly on vast areas of land they have seized in the last two weeks, the Premier disclosed that the Cabinet had agreed to cut up big estates throughout Italy and

distribute part of them to employed farmers.
