There have been the usunt ut

It is with personal gratification that we know that there are more people who are now belter ac- quainted with our Waterfront and Its "Features",

Altogether, it has been a plea- sant and interesting year.

BY OUR HARBOUR REPORTER
As she looks from the air today, Aberdeen Harbour is reminiscent of the planeering days when myrlada of native craft cluttered the placid preminote, to irade with the foreigners. In the foreground can be seen, the picturesque Chinese hill-cometery (right); the naval dockyard (below); the Marina Restaurants in the middle anchored in a line;

Aberdeen harbour--where
history was made

Often unsung is the sheltered narrow deep-water
harbour of Aberdeen “Little Hong Kong"

Aberdeen Harbour stil! plays a key role-it is the largest and most populated of the 13 fishing centres in British waters. Some 20,000 fishermen and their families, com- prising two-fifths of the total floating popula- tion in Hong Kong, eke out a unique existence there.

Shipping companies havo been asked to submit advance particulars covering cargo tonnage and other portinent dato so that decking recom. mendations can be made to ensure efficient discharge on avaliable plers.
This decision was recently agreed upon by Manila port authorities and reprecanta- tives of foreign shipping or. ganisations. The conference. was called following reparta that certain shipping Unos for exclusive had applied berthing privileges.

Coming to the Log of the first week of our second year...we havó “bad” nows for those who frequent the Aberdeen Marine Restaurants.
It is understood that there fon- ting eating establishments per- minently anchored in Aberdeen Harbour, have suspended business as from the begining of this month.

Remote Aberdeen Harbour owes its present popularity suburban resort to these: Marino Restaurants, which have attracted thousands of tourists and residents since they nude their debut már than a year ago, after obtaining approval from the Urban Council.
