Hungarian frontier guards opened fire on a 200-yard wide stretch of Yugoslav territory with automatic weapons on Thursday last, the Yugoslav Ministry of the Interior an- nounced today.
The incident, the biggest yet to occur on the frontier between the two coun
tries, was at Donji Niholjac, in Croatia.
The Yugoslav communique said that the Hungarians kept up their fire from 9 p.m. on Thursday until 3 o'clock the following morning and also threw hand grenades and fired rockets.
