Keen Competition Expected At Today's Race Meeting
(By "Rapier")
Followers of the turf will, once again, be able to derive enjoyment from their particular favourite sport this afternoon, when racing will be resumed after an interval of more than three months.
An attractive programme of events-with satisfactory entries--has been drown up for this meeting and with the gross track in perfect condi- tion, there is no doubt but that the various races will be keenly con- fested.
The Totalisator System will not be ready for this meeting and the old
system of purchasing tickets at the counter will stand.
In the event of fine weather; prevailing today, there should be
a large attendance at the Race Course.
Racing will be conducted sc- ording to the new Classification List and it will tras de no tāśa. task to nominate the miners in these races.
