Newspaper Hawkers Fined
Two newspaper hawkers were each fined $150 by Mr. Blair-Kerr at Kowloon yester- day for behaving in a dis- orderly manner.
Tong Lung, aged 17, and Tong Puk-sum. aged 18, both of 43 Nanchong Sirect, first floor, pleaded guilty to the charge.
The prosecution stated that ก
suggestion for continuation of charity for the relief of the flood disaster in China by howking newspapers, was made by news- paper hawkers, requesting free Supplies of newspapers from the publishers. .This request Wis eventually rejected.
It was alleged that some haw- kers then started to-buyeull the publishers by refusing to sell newspapers, and to interfere with those who hawk for them.
