CANTON, JULY 21. CHINESE COMMUNIST TROOPS, ADVANCING ALONG THE HUNAN HIGHWAY, HAVE CAPTURED SEVERAL MORE TOWNS EAST OF THE CANTON-HANKOW RAILWAY, THEY ARE WITHIN 20 MILES NORTH AND 20 MILES EAST OF CHANGSHA, THE HUNAN PROVINCIAL CAPITAL. General Pai Chung-hsi, Nationalist Central China commander, is still in Changsha but will probably leave tomorrow. Liuyang and Pingsiong, East and South East of Changsha, respectively, have fallen to the Communists, according to usually reliable Chinese reports reaching Canton today. Pingsiang is an importont coal-mining centre. Rail traffic has been suspended on the Chekiang-Kiangsi railway at Li- lung, near Pingsiang.
