Jap Union Executives Dismissed
❤ Tokyo, July 18. Fourteen leftisi union, execu tlves of the Government Railway Workers Union refused to accept the discharge notices given them today by the management and said they would "ght to the inst" to keep their jobs.
The union executives, including 11 Communists led by Ichizo Shouki, charged the management with violating the labour standard laws by sacking them because of their union activities and also ex- recent incidents to ploiting the gain public support in their dis- missal action.
The management sent the dis- missal notices to the 14 union ex- ecutives through the mail when the latter refused to accept thems The management countered with the statement that the union ex- ecutives were discharged not be- cause of union activities but be cause of their refusal to co-operate with the management. In this connection the management charged them, with obstructionist tactics in the sound operation of the railway system--United Press.
