The shares of two companies primarily concorned in the fabulously rich Erfdeel gold strike of June 3 slumped on the stock market heroj tonight after the announcement of another strike only a few inches away and less than 1-200th as rich. The two companies are the Free State Gold Areas, who hold options over Erfdeel, and the Union Free State Mining, the parent concern.
In a wild wave of selling, the Free State Gold Areas" ahares slumped to 15-after touching 33/0, carlier in the day, while Union Free State Mining fell to 18/6d from an earlier peak of 29/6d.
