Increased Communist pressure in North Kiangsi Province aimed at the strategic railway city of Nanchang, and the deployment of heavy Communist forces in the semicircle' around the North Western and South Western approaches to Shanghai were the latest important developments in the Chinese civil war report- ed here today.
