Washington, April 12. - Senator Robert H. Humphrey (Democrat, Minne- sota) suggested in an interview today that the Indian Government should directly approach the United States for economic assistance.
"I believe India has an excellent case for American aid and I feel certain our Government would give it a sympathetic hearing," Mr. Humphrey 1 told Reuter.
