eld Paris bookshop, recently made the find of a lifetime-an almost complete set of perhaps the mori famona of all illustrm- tions of soma of the most popular of all Biblical stories the Parables.
The illustrations, designed ant engraved on copper between 1872 and 1885, repræ- sent the work of the brat fine-artiste of that school in that day, notably M, Heemskerch

Previously, only three sets has been known to be in existence; one in the New York Pub- lia Library, ona in England and the other in italy, but none of theso nots was complete. In the new collection are some not previously known.
