PAL Granted Air Parcel Franchise To United States

Philippine Air Lines have been granted the fron- chise to carry air parcels from Hong Kong to the United States under the International

Air Parcols Post scheme.

Hong Kong's Postmaster General announced yes- terday that the new service will be inaugur- ated on October 6 for the despatch of printed popers, commercial papers, parcels, etc., by air to America.

Mr. F. W. Kendall, Philip- pine Air Lines' Fur East Trafic and Sales Manager, told the "China Mail" that credit should be given to the officials of the General Post-Mce and other Government departments for their foresight.
