Berlin, August 12.
The Russian military police, accompanied by the German police, today invaded the American and British sectors of Berlin in an alleged raid on black market operators. Flying squads of Russians and Germans working for
them appeared in both Allied sectors. The Ger- man police of the Western sectors immedi- ately summoned the American and British military police.
The British officer heading a military patrol de- manded that the Russians get out of his sector, and they did so. By the time American troops arrived, the Russians had withdrawn from their sector too.
