Of Complaints
Nanking, Apr. 13. War-worried delegates whose emotions at times approached hysteria, threatened to walk out today to force National Assembly officials to continue discussion of China's unhappy mili- tary situation.
One after another, eager speakers paraded to the rostrum to condemn the Nationalist Govern- ment's "inefficiency, corruption and injustice,' and plead for reinforcements to save their own particular regions from being overrun by the Reds.

SOARE IN PEIPING New Advance By Communists
Poiping, Apr. 13.
A powerful Communist army has surged through the buckling Nationalist defences to within 30 miles of Paiping, heightening the tension in this North China city, according, to reports in the Chinese press today.
Red General Li Yung-chang's veteran divisions are pouring south of the Great Wall from Man- churia to mount a furious attack on the towns of Hsiangho, Sanho and Paoti, east of Feiping. The entire area has been embroiled in bitter fighting since last night, according to Nationalist reports.
Italy's Claim Recognised
Washington, Apr. 13. The tripartite Gold Commis- sion, which judges claims to monetary gold looted from Europe by Germany during the war, has decided to allow "al- most in full" Italy's claim for restitution of gold taken from her, according to advice ro ceived by the State Department here today.
Only part of Italy's claim was recognised when the Commis- sion--of Britalo, the United States and France-made its Grai distribution on Oct. 17. Italy then received $4,000,000 worth of gold. The latest decision of the Com- mission means that Italy will soon receive a further $31,000,000 worth of gold.
The Communists are report- to have broken into Banho after an artillery barrage. Passen- ger service has been suspended along the railway to Tientsin. If the reports are confirmed
It would mean Peiping's only land link with non-Communist territory would be severed.
