Democratic Powers Join In Condemnation
Unique In Modern Diplomacy
Washington, Feb. 26.
In a joint statement, the United States, Britain and France today condemned events in Czecho- slovakia as "placing in jeopardy the very exis- tence of the principles of liberty to which all democratic nâtions are attached."
The three-nation declaration said: “By means of a crisis artificially and deliberately instigated, the use of methods already tested in other places, has permitted the suspension of the free exercise of Parliamentary institutions and the establishment of a disguised dictator- ship of a single party under the cloak of a government of national union.
